This is not a purchase. The ZIP contains the exact same free resources listed above, nothing more (except, it contains Word and Excel versions s bonus).

It is simply our way of asking for a small token of appreciation for the time and effort our volunteers put into creating these high-quality PMBOK templates.

PMBOK Templates: Frequently Asked Questions

What are PMBOK templates?

PMBOK templates are ready-made documents for the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. You use them to plan, run and close a project without starting from a blank page.

How many PMBOK templates are there?

There are 73 PMBOK templates, free as PDFs. They match the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Can I use these PMBOK templates for exam study?

Yes. Filling in a template on a practice project helps you remember the ideas. It also prepares you for the PMP or CAPM exam.

Do I need an account to download PMBOK templates?

No. The PDFs need no sign-up. For Word versions, see how else you could contribute.

Where can I learn more about the PMBOK method?

Read the official guide from PMI. Then pair these PMBOK templates with our PMBOK flashcards and PMBOK quizzes.

How do I choose the right template for my project?

Start with the phase your project is in. A new idea needs initiation and planning documents. A running project needs tracking and reporting documents. A finishing project needs closure and lessons-learned documents. Pick only what you need. Small projects rarely need every document.

What is the best way to fill in a template?

Work with your team. Write short, clear entries. Use plain words that every reader can follow. Name an owner and a date for each action. Keep a copy of each version so you can see how your plan changed over time.

Can I change the templates to suit my project?

Yes. Tailor them to the size and risk of your work. Remove fields you do not need. Add fields your donor, client or employer asks for. Good tailoring is part of every method, including the PMBOK approach.
